Fortaleza Counseling & Consulting, PLLC was created from a simple but deeply held belief: people deserve spaces where they feel seen, safe, and genuinely supported. Spaces where mental health is not only discussed, but understood. Where education, community, and leadership come together to create real impact.

We founded Fortaleza because we wanted to do things differently. Too often, systems lose sight of the people they exist to serve. Corporate structures become driven by politics and profit, while clients and communities are pushed to the background and employees burn themselves out trying to make meaningful change from the inside. At Fortaleza, we believe leadership matters. There would be no practice, no success, and no growth without the trust of our clients and the strength of our community. We lead with that truth at the center of everything we do.

The name Fortaleza reflects the kind of strength we believe in. Not the loud kind. Not the performative kind. But the quiet, resilient strength it takes to keep going. To stand for what is right when it feels lonely. To rise again when life knocks you down. To dig deep, find grit, and move forward knowing that your growth does not just change your life, it creates opportunity and stability for those around you.
