Fortaleza is a counseling and consulting organization focused on strengthening people and the systems around them. Our work spans mental health services, student and family support, organizational consulting, leadership development, workplace transformation, training, and community-based services.
We work with individuals, families, schools and school districts, community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, leaders, and teams. Because our services are designed around the needs of the people and organizations we serve, engagements may range from individual counseling to organization-wide initiatives.
Our services include counseling, Wraparound Services, the Fortaleza Framework, Workplace Transformations, leadership and team development, workshops and professional training, supervised visitation, and other customized support services.
Our Wraparound Services support the whole student by addressing academic, social, emotional, family, and environmental barriers. We work alongside students, families, schools, and community partners to strengthen the support systems surrounding them.
The Fortaleza Framework is our approach to helping schools identify needs, gaps, and opportunities across the entire school community. We help strengthen areas such as student support, family engagement, leadership, school culture, and community connection.
Workplace Transformations are customized consulting engagements designed to strengthen organizations from the inside out. Services may include leadership development, workplace culture, communication, employee engagement, team effectiveness, training, conflict management, and organizational strategy.
Yes. Fortaleza can develop workshops, professional development, consulting engagements, and other programming around the specific needs, challenges, and goals of your school, organization, or team.
Yes. Counseling remains an important part of Fortaleza. We provide individual, couples, and family counseling through telehealth for eligible clients in Texas.
Telehealth sessions take place via secure video conferencing. You will receive a link prior to your session and can join from any private, comfortable location with a stable internet connection.
Yes. We provide therapy for clients ages 5+, and may refer out when specialized care is more appropriate.
Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows are subject to a fee.

We operate on a private pay model. This approach allows for flexible, individualized care without the constraints often imposed by insurance requirements. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on qualification and availability. We’re happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your insurance.
Yes, we offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need and eligibility.
Yes. We provide ESA letters for current clients and when clinically appropriate.
Yes, for current clients only. Additional fees will apply. We do not provide custody evaluations or expert testimony.
